LATE REGISTRATION IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
SPRING 2012 Late Registration Started February 12. Late Registration will be accepted ONLY while there are open slots.  We have a very limited number of open slots available for late registration. When open slots are filled, registration will be closed. Please register EARLY To avoid  late registration issues.

$10.00    Energy Management Fee,  MANDATED by the City of DeSoto.

You may sign up at the DeSoto Town Center Recreation Center, located at 211 East Pleasant Run Road, Desoto, Texas; across from Thumb Tom Grocery Store.

City’s Requirements: 
The City of DeSoto, by ordinance handles all registration for youth sports. Fees are collected at the time of registration by Park and Leisure staff.

**Every player (resident/nonresident) is required to purchase a “Sports ID” card for $5.00. This fee is separate from the fee below. If you purchased a card in the Fall season of 2011, it will be good for the spring season of 2012. This card is good for all sports played in DeSoto and is good based on an academic calendar year from August of the current year to August of the following year.   The City does prorate purchase of the card. See City staff for more information.

If you are a DeSoto resident, all parents of players will be required to show two proof of residency. Example: Drivers license and one of the following: water bill, electric bill, and gas bill. If you are not a resident of Desoto, all you will be required to show is your Drivers License to register.

New players will be required to turn in a copy of a birth certificate. If you do not have one with you, you may mail it in. Ask for envelopes with Desoto Soccer Association (DSA) address on it to mail it in. A player will be required to turn this in before they are allowed to play.

Players/parents must fill out the form completely and sign the refund policy attached. Turn all forms to the personnel at the Recreation Center Control booth. Please pay your fee when you turn your form in.

Once registration is closed:

The DeSoto Soccer Association registrar and Age Group Coordinators will hold a Parent's Meeting.  At this meeting the registrar will identify how many new teams will need to be formed and coaches that will be needed.   Questions will be answered and coaches identified.   Teams can hen be formed and parents will be contacted.  Ideally we will have two weeks prior to the season starting.  New coaches will be given dates of coaches clinics and information on background checks at this meeting.
